Heuer Bundeswehr Chronograph Ref. SG 1550 - "Very good" condition - Watch only

This Heuer Bundeswehr chronograph, reference SG 1550, has a black dial with Arabic numerals and two sub-dials and is offered in very good condition, as the watch only, without box and papers. The red 3H in a circle above six o'clock marks tritium lume, and the luminous hands have aged to a warm tone. The steel case carries a rotating bezel with black insert and 60-minute scale, and the watch sits on a khaki textile strap.

Heuer built this chronograph for the pilots of the West German armed forces, the Bundeswehr. It is a hand-wound flyback chronograph: a press on the lower pusher returns the running chronograph to zero and restarts it at once, for timing one leg after the next without a stop. Small seconds sit at nine o'clock and a 30-minute counter at three, and the large Arabic numerals and the rotating bezel keep the dial easy to read.
