The Royal Oak, designed by Gérald Genta and introduced in 1972, is known for its octagonal bezel with eight hexagonal screws and its integrated bracelet. The 14790ST is the 36 mm Royal Oak of the 1990s and early 2000s, with the automatic calibre 2225, centre seconds and date. Its steel case and bracelet alternate brushed and polished surfaces.
