A. Lange & Söhne Grosse Lange 1 Ref. 117.028 - "Very good" condition - Fullset

This is an A. Lange & Söhne Grand Lange 1, reference 117.028, in 18K white gold with a black dial. It is offered as a full set in top condition.

The Lange 1, launched in 1994, is the watch that defined the modern A. Lange & Söhne. Its asymmetrical dial layout follows the proportions of the golden ratio, and it remains one of the most recognisable designs in fine watchmaking. The Grand Lange 1 brings this design into a larger 40.9 mm white gold case that is only 8.8 mm thick. The black dial gives the watch a modern, striking look. It shows Lange’s famous outsize date at 1 o’clock, the off-centre hours and minutes, small seconds at 5 o’clock and the “Auf/Ab” (up/down) power reserve indicator. It comes on an alligator strap with an 18K white gold Lange pin buckle.

Through the sapphire caseback you can see the hand-wound Lange calibre L095.1, made of 397 parts and finished by hand to the highest Glashütte standards, with around 72 hours of power reserve.

Full set, top condition: the icon of German fine watchmaking in its larger, modern form, with a black dial that is less often seen than the classic silver.
