A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Ref. 233.032 - "Very good" condition - Papers
This is an A. Lange & Söhne 1815, reference 233.032, in 18K pink gold. It comes with its papers and is in perfect condition.
The 1815 is named after the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange, who founded German precision watchmaking in Glashütte in 1845. It is Lange’s purest, most classic dress watch. The 233.032 is the second generation of the 1815, with a 38.5 mm pink gold case that gives it a more contemporary presence than the original 36 mm version. The solid silver dial is taken straight from historic Lange pocket watches. It has black Arabic numerals, a railway minute track, small seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel hands, which stand out beautifully against the warm pink gold.
Through the sapphire caseback you can see the hand-wound Lange calibre L051.1, finished by hand to the highest Glashütte standards. It has a three-quarter plate of untreated German silver with Glashütte ribbing, screwed gold chatons and a hand-engraved balance cock, with around 55 hours of power reserve.
With papers, in perfect condition: timeless German fine watchmaking at its most elegant.
