Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5296G-001 - "Very good" condition - Papers

This Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 5296G-001, in 18K white gold has the silver sector dial. It comes with its German papers dated 2008 and all original documents, and it is fitted with a folding clasp.

The Calatrava is Patek Philippe’s benchmark dress watch, first presented in 1932 as the Reference 96. The 5296 is a modern interpretation of that clean design, updated to a contemporary 38 mm. The 5296G-001 is one of the most vintage-inspired Calatravas of the modern era, drawing on Patek watches of the 1930s and 1940s. Its two-tone silver “sector” dial has dark blue baton hour markers, a blue minute scale, a railway seconds track with blue Arabic numerals every five seconds, blued leaf-shaped hands and a centre sweep seconds hand.

Through the sapphire caseback you can see Patek’s self-winding calibre 324 S C with date, finished to the standards of the Patek Philippe Seal. The polished white gold case is just 8.5 mm thick.

Discontinued in 2019, the 5296G-001 is highly sought after for its sector dial. This example comes with German papers from 2008, all documents and a folding clasp: an elegant, complete Calatrava from Patek’s modern era.
