Cartier Santos Ref. WSSA0018 - "Very good" condition - Fullset

The Santos has a story few watches can match. Louis Cartier designed it in 1904 for his friend, the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, who wanted to read the time without letting go of his plane's controls. It is one of the first men's wristwatches ever made.

The modern WSSA0018 keeps that design: a square case with softened corners and the exposed screws on the bezel, here in brushed and polished steel measuring 39.8 x 47.5 mm. The silvered opaline dial has black Roman numerals, a railway minute track and blued steel sword hands. Inside is Cartier's in-house automatic calibre 1847 MC, with around 42 hours of power reserve. It is water resistant to 100 m.
